Aptworks Consulting was founded by Debi Fuchs, who handles all aspects of each project. Debi has been a FileMaker enthusiast since 1990. She enjoys working with people, designing interfaces, writing clever scripts, and exchanging knowledge with others. She has been a speaker at the 2003, 2004, and 2009 FileMaker Developer Conferences, where she presented advanced technical topics to the community of professional FileMaker developers. Debi was also one of two technical editors of the essential book Special Edition: Using FileMaker Pro 7.

Debi is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she received a B.S. in Mathematics with Computer Science in 1991. She also holds an Ed.M. in Technology in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Before becoming a full-time FileMaker developer in 1998, she held positions at Apple Computer, Taligent Inc., and MIT. Though she has experience with numerous programming environments, Debi loves FileMaker best.
